EAN Sportshall
Historically, Braintree athletes have always attended these competitions in large numbers. By attending these, there is a strong chance of being selected to compete for Essex in the regional finals and then maybe onto the National finals.

Sportshall is designed for the younger members of the club and is a good way of training/competing throughout the winter months. Some of the events that are undertaken are as follows and you can get further info at http://www.sportshall.org/
  Standing Long Jump
  Standing Triple Jump
  Push Throw
  Bean Bag Challenge
  Foam Javelin
  Standing Jump
  Shuttle run
  Hi Stepper

If any parent and/or coaches are able to offer their assistance, please let Mark Gurteen know. Ideally, we need six adults to run a successful session and it can be very rewarding (and loud!)

Selection criteria for the Regional final are that to be considered for the Essex team, U11s &
U13s compete in two of the three fixtures, one of which should preferably be the final round.
Under 15s should compete in at least one fixture, preferably the Chelmsford final.
Braintree are asked to supply volunteers to support the Chelmsford event.

The results of the Essex Athletic Network Sportshall competitions can be found on our Track & Field results page.
